Moving offices from our tight 630 sq. foot space to our new 3600+ sq foot location in downtown Wichita Falls has been a blessing. We grew extremely tight bonds together during our 3.5 years at that location. At the time of the move, we had 7 employees working for Hoegger. So yes, it was time for some elbow room. But I’ve great respect for the way we paced ourselves and waited for the right time to make the jump to a larger space. And boy, the wait was worth it!
A beautiful mess. Moving can be difficult. Change can be difficult. Rewiring a work station that has 11 wired devices (4 of which have two wires) can make me want to pull every hair out of my head. But, it’s in those moments that it’s important to take a step back and breathe. Realize how fortunate I am, how fortunate we are. Guys, I’ll be honest, it took me almost two weeks to get my desk set up with all the wires hidden. Lots of things didn’t go according to “my” plan. There were plenty of times I could have screamed… But now, I’ve got an incredible view in a blossoming downtown Wichita Falls.
I guess my bottom line to all of this is a reminder to myself to enjoy the struggle, to smile during frustration. Lord, that I may be a leaf floating along the river. Thanks for reading guys. I’ll see you next week.
